How many years have you arrived in October and wondered, “where did summer go?” Between the busy-ness of the season and the savoring of these sweet, long days, the seasons can change before we have fully processed that they are here.
 
Gathering on Sunday mornings throughout September, Create & Ground is a creative group with nature-inspired prompts to increase our presence and connect us to place and self. This group will include a brief, grounding meditation at the beginning of each class, followed by an hour of art-making in response to a creative prompt. Workshop will be held each Sunday in September, followed by a "friends & family" celebration of your work and dedication to creativity, held on Sunday, October 5.

Bring your favorite morning beverage and art supplies.

Who is this workshop for? Though this group is geared toward the visual arts, any creative (writers, dancers, etc.)  is welcome to attend and apply the prompts to their craft.
 
What is the time commitment?
Sunday’s, 9:30 - 10:45 AM, September 7 - October 5, Held virtually on Zoom.
This workshop does not require any "homework" outside of class time.
 
What if I can't make every week?
Due to the nature of the class (making art together, in real-time), classes will not be recorded. However, the prompts will be sent to all registered attendees after each class so that you can still enjoy the exercises every week.
 
Will you be teaching how to paint or providing technical guidance? No, there is no technical instruction in this class. All levels are welcome to come, play, and explore. There will be no critiques, and sharing is optional. The purpose of this class is to sync with the rhythms of nature, slow down and notice the world around us in community, and get into a flow state of creation, together.
