The "Freshly Squeezed" collection includes 10 reflections on the juxtaposition of life and death, grief and joy, color and neutrality, and using shadow to find the light. These aspects of life are often found and sometimes experienced more intensely in the mundane moments of life. I will often turn to baking or cooking when processing complex emotions, and through the creation of this series painted each piece of produce before using it. 
 
Looking closely at each painting, you will find color in the shadows; my focus while painting was to bring each object to life by adding unexpected color as the impressionists did more than 100 years ago. Each painting is signed, matted, framed, and ready to bring joy and contemplation to your space.
