It all started with a void. Laying in the darkness listening to the city noises outside my window, I felt a longing for the silence of the fog rolling over the hayfields as the air turns crisp on my skin. I missed drives down dirt roads as golden rays from dramatic sunset light up a series of red barns that house a million memories of each and every steward of that land. This was how my newest oil series, "Second Summer" was born.
