Raise Your Hand if You're An Artist

Close your eyes and imagine it's the beginning of summer, a gentle breeze blows through the leaves of huge maple trees in luscious upstate New York, and you have the opportunity to lead a painting workshop in a historic barn. That was the reality of my life just a few weeks ago.

As I began painting, the group of eight participants gathered around and watched intently. I heard a few comments like "She makes it look so easy" or "I could never do that." I kept my demo under ten minutes because I was eager for them to prove themselves wrong. Despite the self-doubt, they were excited to get started on their own paintings.
Within twenty minutes, every single participant was on their way to a gorgeous painting. Each painted for between 1 and 2 hours, and the results were amazing. Not only did they create artworks that were objectively beautiful, but many agreed at the end of the session that they are indeed artists.
It is my goal to inspire others to create, and I am so proud that not only did eight folks tap into their creative selves for a portion of their busy lives, but some of them have reached out to me to let me know that they have now taken up painting as self-care. I could not be more honored.

Ready to unleash your inner artist? Make sure to sign up for my waitlist of upcoming watercolor workshops or reach out if you have an event coming up and would like to have a portion dedicated to a calming, inspiring painting demo and workshop. I cannot wait to spread the creativity at your next event, conference, or function!
